Carcinogenesis is the process that culminates with the proliferation of the disease called cancer. There are also physical factors such as ionizing and non-ionizing radiations which induct skin cancer. From the biological factors we can mention viruses such as HIV.
It`s important to know that not every tumour is cancer. There are two types of tumour:
Benign tumour ( this tumour is not cancer and it`s located in the place where it`s formed)
Malignant tumour( this tumour is cancer and it invades the surrounding tissues )
There are several types of cancer: carcinoma ( cancer formed in the ephitelia ), sarcoma ( cancer formed in the mesenchymal tissue ), myeloma ( cancer formed in the bone marrow and in the plasmatic cells ), leukemia ( cancer formed in the white cells of the blood ).
